wireless router

Do you ever get tired of having way to many computer cords, not know which cord goes where, or maybe don't even have a plug for a certain cord?

My idea would help solve that problem. A wireless router would plug into your computer and every accessory would then wirelessly connect to the router. This would create a clutter free computer environment; never before possible.

  1. If this wireless router were to work, it would be popular thoughout many age groups. Students, should the router be cheap enough, would love this contraption considering how small and untidy their dorm rooms are. Parents/adults are always complaining about the mess and clutter in their lives, and as long as someone else installed it they would be happy. Senior citizens often times get overwhelmed with so many cords so this router would ease their minds a little. I am confused though, if you make the router wireless would you not have to make all of the accessories wireless as well? That could be quite a bit of technology to change.

  2. Sitting at my desk right now I can see all of the clutter and confusion too many wires creates. Your idea is definitely very useful and would appeal to nearly everybody that owns a computer. My only concern is the affordability for the router. Computers are expensive as it is and a hefty price on this router might scare people away. As long as the price is reasonable, though, I think you have a great idea on your hands!

  3. I'm staring at my computer and I have easily 15 cords. Cords suck. Not even just one cord, what about no cords, including power source. Wireless power? Crazy, yes. Too crazy for a Writ130 paper, not at all.

    Thanks for your encouraging comments!
I just as optimistic of a wide user base as you. Hopefully everyone can benefit.

To answer your question: A lot of technology is wireless already. The problem is that it is all individually wireless. Each wireless mouse or printer or whatever has its own router. This does not solve the problem at all as each router needs a cord to the computer. The only thing that would change is the universal router.

  5. Thanks CF!
I hope it can be as effective as imagined. As for the price, the router would not be that expensive. Right now, every wireless accessory for your computer needs a separate router. With a universal router, the price would be divided by the number of routers you would have had to buy before this improvement.

    Thanks too for your comments,
I like your imagination on expanding my idea! Power and everything would be the next step. Right now, i feel like baby steps would be the way to go, see how the world takes in this new technology.

I'll keep that in mind though!
